BRITISH OPERATIONS PERFECTLY SUCCESSFUL. r fa »■ Turkish Attacks Frustrated at Several Points^
The High Commissioner reports under date London, July 18, 4,20 p.m, as follows;— At the Dardanelles there was no important movement from September 12 to 17. The TurJka attacked at several points on the front by mines, a method hitherto not employed. a On th 9 morning of the 17th an enemy gallery was destroyed. Despite several days' advance against our mines our operations were perfectly successful and were accomplished without loss.
