Loan Proposals Rejected.
. Very little interest was taken in the polling yesterday for the proposala to borrow sums of £1000 for advances for drainage connections and for water extensions respectively. What interest was taken was principally by those opposed to the proposals, as is indicated by the polling, which was as follows:— Drainage Water Extensions For 42 48 Against 134 127 Informal 1 2 Both proposals were therefore rejected by substantial majorities.
