FREEZING WORKS PROPOSAL.
Experts Inspecting Sites.
The experts- Messrs W. D. Powdrell of Hawera, C. ML Crefswell of Wanganui, and R. Stevens of Pnlroerston North —who have been engaged tv visit the Bsy of Plenty and report as to the best site to locate freezing works, left Rotorua for Opotiki on Thursday last, and were to commence their work «f inspection at Opotiki yesterday. They are accompanied by Mr H. J. -Day, the Secretary appointed at the recent meeting at Matata, •nd will work up the Cuast, arriving here on Tuesday morning. It is ex pected that they will leave for Auckand by Tuesday's steamer.
