In the evening there was a large attendance, and excellent busiuew was done by the stallholders. [Selections were artistically rendered by the Lyric Orchestra and were much appreciated by the assemblage, The instrumentalists were Miss Poad (piano), Mr (Jonchie (cornet), Mr J Housby (violin), Mr Randell ('cello), aud Mr P. Carter (flute). Miss Adelaide Bruce sustained her reputation as a fine contralto iv the soug " Absent," and to a vociferoue encore responded with " Night Has a Thousand Eyes/ Miss Bruce has a voice of much power and sweetuess and, uses it like a true artist.

A number of guessing competitions and raffles were held, the winners being Mr J. Close (splash guard, aud silver matchbox), Miss E Hammond (doll), Mr H..W. Wilding (handkerchief satchel, kindly presented again to the bazaar), Miss E. Tanner (table centre), Mr J. Close (handkerchief satchel, donated again to the bazaar), Miss Mannix and* pair pillow shams). The shooting competition was won by Mr A P Foxcroftind the nail driving contest by Mr_ Wilson.

- One of the features of the bamr was the illumination of the refresh- - ment room.
