MUNITION WORKERS IN AMERICA.
Bernstoff Follows Dumba's Example.
London, Sept 9. Archibald, the war correspondent, asserts his innocence in regard to tbe Dumba incident in connection with the munition workers in the United States. The letter sent through Archibald includes the following passage : "Even if strikes fail to come' off it is probable that we shall exort under the pressure of th» crisis, more favourable conditions for our poor, down-trodden fellow countrymen. Those white slaves of Bethlehem, who work twelve hours a day aud seven days a week, are all weak persons who will become consumptive. Ngw York, Sept 9. The German Ambassador, Count Bernstorff. is instituting a campaign among munition workers similar to that of M Dumba. Bernstorff has advertised offering to finance and aid and find good positions in peaceful iidustiies to Germans abandoning munition work.
