KOTTERMAN CAPTURED
"TAKE ME: I AM YOURS
Wellington, Jan 1 Late on Saturday afternoon Arthur Kotterman, suspected of murdering the McCann family, at Ruahine, nrai Mangaweka, on Monday last, was arrested at the McMeuamm's Te Kamate station. Terawhiti. Owing to information supplied by William Kelly, who was working at K.irori Rock light, at which camp Kotterman called* on Friday night, the police proceeded to that locality. They searched the district thoroughly, subsequently tracing the man they wanted to the statiou. Kotterman was resting in the cook-' house, when he saw three men approaching. Suspecting they were police searching for him he told the cook he was a runaway Norwegian sailor and made for a clump of scrub The cook at iirst refused to givu any information, but when told wh v the man was he at once informe v where Kotterman was. The police; armed with revolvers, surrounded the scrub, but Kotteiman, knowing the game was up, walked out saying : " Take m : 1 am yours."
