MEETING OF COMMITTEE

It was decided, lhat the Coronation ceremony take place on the afternoon of Thursday, the 16th ins>t., in the Domain, providing the weather is fine. The Coronation cauiagp, which will be headed by the Band, to loave the Tauranga Hotel at 2.1)0 p.m., and procef d by Devonport Road, First Avenue and Cameron Road to the Domain. Entrance fee to the Domain to be \r, the secretary to obtain permission from the Tauranga Domain Board to make a charge for entrance. In the event of the weather being wet the coronation will take place in the Opera House on the same evening at 8 o'clock, the charges for admission to be front seats 2s, back seats Is. It was resolved that tho matter of the platform and throne b9 left ia the hands of Messrs Meers and Foxcroft. In regard to Coronation robpp, etc , the meeting decided lhat the Lidies' Committee interview Mrs Tanner (the Queen) on the matter, and th-at the Secretary approach the unsuccessful candidates and invite them to act as Maids of Honour. In the event of them declining a small memento to be given to each. . It was decided that tho Ball be held in the Opera House on Friday evening, 17th July. Tickets, gents 3s, ladies :2s. Messrs W. H. Poole and J. Gruinuess were appointed M.O's.
