LARGE ENTRIES

Tho hearty response to the call for entries for tho second ninual show to be held on Thursday i.ext under the auspices of the Katikati Agricultural and Pastoral Association must bo highly gratifying to tho executive of that organisation. Tho light horse section has idled well, especially the classes for horse under 15.2, horso II _ or under, trotter, walker, lOst and l_st hacks, troop horse, lady's hack and pony over 1. hands bnt under 112. The draught division will b_ well represented, the best entry being a dozen in the class for light spring cart horses. There will be au excellent show of cattle, fully indicative of the dairying and stock raising industries. Large entries havo also been received for the poultry, produce, vegetable, fruit, industrial audohildron. ssoctionn. Lnst year's show dicw numerous

visitors from Taurauga and as the journey may be made either by boat or vehicle no dc.uht many will make tho trip on this o.e.sion. Wo wish the function tine weather and that success which should be tho reward of healthy public spirit.

Mr H. P. Clarke's commodious launch Manuwai will leave Tauranga for Katikati ou the morning of the show at 0 o'clock, leaving Katikati at 0.00 p.in Tho return fare has been fixed at Is Od.
