Hon, W. T\ Massey has received ■a. cable from the secretary of Dr. Mawson's expedition, asking him to send ihe steamer Hinemoa with stores from the schooner Rachel Cohen for Mnequarie. Island, where the inhabitants,-'includ-ing five members of the. expedition." are short of stores. Mr Massey states that the Hinemoa was not .sufficiently seaworthy, but the Tutanekai will be ordered to stand by. In. the meantime the Government is making inquiries from Australia regarding the urgency of the matter.
