THIEVES CAPTURED. London, June I. A daring robbery is reported. Messrs Freeman and Company, jewel merchants, a day auo, deposited in the cloakroom at King's Cross railway station a heavily-ironed box containing" jewellery valued at iMUOU, with the intention of entraining it next morning. During the evening a supposed district messenger asked that the box be removed to another cloakroom, and thus secured a second ticket. A cab drove up at Jive o'clock in the morning, a man presented the second ticket, and the porters lifted the box to the cab. When the proper messenger from Messrs Freeman and Company presented the ticket, the theft was discovered. A reward of £500 is being offered for the recovery of the box. London, June ">. Three arrests have been made following the King's Cross railway station robbery oi jewels worth AMOOO. The jewels were recovered at Liverpool Street station, where they had been deposited. (Ree. Charles Schreifer, clerk in I'Yeeman's employ, Joseph James, dealer. formerly in Freeman's employ, and Frank Keener, ehauiVeur, have, been remanded, in connection with the Kine's Cress robbery.
