WOMAN ATTEMPTS TO BURN
HERSELF
Delhi, June 3
The wife of a Brahmin, at Lucknow, declaring she had become a suttee, set fire to her clothing as her husband's body was being borne to a burning ghat. The flames were extinguished and she then tried to throw herself on the funeral pyre.
She was arrested
