AN INVESTMENT QUESTION.
| ; Rec. 26, 9.15 a.m ; Lon.on, March 25. Before the Marconi Committee Mr Rufus Isaacs, denied any connechon with Government's Marconi negotiations. He faid he had no dealings with any Marconi Company prior to the Marconi contract. His brother subsequently mentioned purchasing some after ascertaining the Company was not interested in the English Com pany. Tho latter had a controlling interest and undertook to guarantee the American Company's issue of seven million dollar 1. Three English directors had seats on the American Company. Before making the investment he ascertained that the English Company's contract could in no wise atfect the American Company. It had not occurred to him whm attacked to mention the investment in order to prevent an unfounded insinuation as lie .expected the Committee would require his evidence.
