MUSICAL AWARD.

Wellington, Dec 4 M. -Sehilsky, examiner for Trinity College of Music, lias awarded tho Governors' medal to Miss Elsie May jVlanson. ay^ea 15, Invercargill centre. He suggests that in future the medal should be awarded to higher caudidates either in associate or licentiate. Mr Sehilsky considers that Kathleen Levy, who took her A.T.C.L. degree at the age of 15, is the most proniisug pianist he has heard in Australsin.
