A DEVIATION QUESTION.

Mr J. A. M. Davidson forwarded a statement to the Tauranga County Council re deviation through Mvs Wallis'farm, which was read at yesterday's meeting. After referring to the positon at some length, Mr Davidson said he understands a re-survey is necess.ry. As the road must be legalised at some time or another, and the adj'-ining* landowners are anxious to have the matter fettled- he ventured to suggest that it would be in the best interest of the County to have the survey made, and, further, pointed out that the actual money cost to the Council would bo nil, or very little, as uming that compensation for the deviation has been paid to the occupier
