Tho conference of the Amalgamate Society of Railway Workers passed a resolution of regret that the railwayman of the Great Northern, Ireland, Midland and Groat Western hadfailed to respond to the general strike, causing failure and victimisation of loyal members. It also deprecated unauthorised strikes.. . , _ LONDON, Oct. 7. Owing to the refusal of two nonunionists to join the union, all the operative- at the Gatsftold mill, Burnley, have given notice to strike on Wednesday. - ' The Spinners' Association of North __d- North-east Lancashire haw replied threatening a lock-out involving 145,000 workers.
