TERRIFIC EXPLOSION
DAMAGE IN NEW YOKiT
MANY KILLED OK INJURED
NEW YORK, Doc. 20. Thirteen were killed and over 100 injured in a gas explosion in Sew York. A stenographer was speared through the head by a flying timbor-joi.st. A policeman .was leading two little jirl.s across the street, and one na 3 torn from his hand and hurled yards a way, while the other's leg was cut off by the flying iron. The tables of the teachers' training school were spotted with blood, blown up from the street. l'ubies were flung out of baths in a babies' home in the vicinity of the explosion, and thousands of windows were wrecked. A power-house was wrecked, and many cars smashed. The damage will probably run into i-quartor of "a million.
