THE PERTH MYSTERY.
PERITI, October 23. Ihe search for the body of Ethel Harris, tho woman who, until five months ago, lived with Alfred Smart, and who mysteriously disappeared prior to the latter's marriage with another woman, has so far proved fruitless. The detectives ato now satisfied that the body cnuld have been burned at the foundry where Smart worked, and that all tracos of it could thus have been destroyed. Smart, who was arrested for bigamy, ■ has pleaded guilty to the charge. He has been remanded for sentence.
