In the Supreme Court, before Justice Edwards, Mary Josephiue Milam pleaded guilty to bigamy at Eotorua, and was ordered to come up fur sentence wl ea called oa. A pitiful tale of her husband's cruelty was told by Mr Eail, who Bppeired on her behslt. He had not provided her with a proper home, and ended by ordering her hway. The woman worked es a woi're.s in Eotorua, where she manied again. Wm. Patrick Brophy received 18 mouths for theft at Helensville.
