BIG BLAZE IN CHICAGO.
. _ w NEW YORK, March 2G. A disastrous fire has occurred in Chicago. In Fiji's big furniture , shop, consisting of ten storeys, an explosion of benzine 'occurred, and the building was soon enveloped in flames.
If any workers were in the building at the time, and numbers of them were unable to r£jjeh the street, the exits beiag blocked "by the rapidly- spreading flames. Some, finding no other way of escape, leaped from the windows to the street.
Fifteen dead bodies have so far been recovered, including the bodies of five of those who leapt from the windows
