Onadian newspapers are divided concerning the results of tho tariff negotiations with the United States, jtjsnnderstood that the reductions that hare bWO made are applicable in all coufltrirt. Canada's tariff has bsen si ghtly re Jaeed on a small number of articles. Xhe Toronto correspondent of the Times mentions that there is strong general opposition to any formal ndgotiatioin with Washington for more extended trade relations. The American press welcomes Pres idenl Taft's success.
