During the visit of Mr E. -Newman, jM.P., on Friday last, Mr J. C. Adams made ir.Vjuiry regarding the price of money advanced by thj Stale Guaranteed AlAVa'ofceH <lioa.rd to local hwdies. Mr Nemn<an answered that he had leceiwd a wire Trom Sir /.Hosef/h iWa'rd a fewdays previously stating tKat the loan which had -been .applied for by the Borough of Foxton— which was in his (Mr Newman's) ' electorate^-for dratna&e and hewage. .ba<d- been provisionally approved at &$ per cent. To tihis has to he added a Kjjykinjj fund, making the price of the monsy £4 17s 6d per cent. 'Hiis will 'repay the loan, with interest, in 30J years.
