MOUNT ETNA E RUPTION.
ROME, March 26. The Mount Etna eruption is increas ing in violence. Five new craters are active, in addi tion to the 10 already throwing out lava. Crowds of tourists are watching the ! advancing lava. Many religious processions are par- ! ading the streets of villages near the volcano, and the churches are crowded with panic stricken people offering up prayer. The upper craters are burling out stones like volcanic bombs. A later report states that the lava is advancing at the rate of a metre (over three feet) a minute upon Bolpasso, where Cardinal Nava has taken the miraculous veil of St.. Agatha to stop the flow.
