The Misses McEwen, of Te.Puke, were passengers from Auckland, by the Clansman on Saturday.

Messrs It.. J. and T. G. Allcly have left <tn a visit to the provincial capital. i

Mr T. Kenealy, who has been on a visit to Te Puke, returned to Auckland on Saturday afternoon.

Mrs H. W. Sinales is at present spending a holiday with friends at "Hampton Park," East Tainaki.

Mr Christopher, accompanied by two sens, arrived here overland from Gisborne on Saturday and is staying at the Star Hotel.

Mr Palmer, Government Pomologist, arrived from Auckland en Saturday morning and will probably remain for a week or ten days.

Mr G. Norris, late of Awatuna, Taranaki, has now taken up his residence on his newly-acquired proIKjrty at Te Kenga.

Mrs W, C. Berrklge and Miss K. Berridge, who have been on a visit to Dunedin and Wellington, respectively, returned on Saturday morning. .• . .

Mrs C. Biggs and Miss Biggs, late of Inglewood (Taranaki) arrived here on Saturday, where they intend in future to reside, Mr Biggs having decided to enter into business in Tauranga.

Mr W. J. F.,Stanton, manager of the i Punuwakau factory, near Stratford, who has been spending a few days with his brother, Mr M. Stanton, To Puke, left on his return on Saturday afternoon.
