Bullet's staff tog*in experience in actual warfare states that he much regrets that the War Office is unable to fall in with the proposal. Several similar requests have been refused. It is considered that Colonial Officers joining the staff would seriously impair its efficiency. Brisbane, October 17.—Government has offered to supply the war office with 3,000 cases of corned beef monthly.
