BAND OF HOPE.
The monthly meeting of the Tauranga Band of Hope was held in the Presbyterian Church on the evening of Monday last, the Rev. John Headrick presiding, when there was a large .attendance. After Prayer, reading of Scripture and singing of hymns 36 and 96, the following programme was carried through : —Recitation, Miss E. Rhodes, i* How happy we will be'; recitation, W.Vickery, 'The snake in the glass ' ; solo, Mr P. Munro, * Don't be sorrowful, darling * ; recitation, Miss M. Me Morrine, ' Accomplishments ' ; reading, Rev J. Headrick, ' John Tregenoweth and his mark ' ; solo. Mrs Collett, ' He wipes the tear from every eye ' ; 1 recitation, Miss B. Murray, 'Tfye wreck of the Wairarapa ; solo, Mrs D. H. Me Kenzie, '0! rest in the Lord'; recitation, Cliye Coilett, 'The ant and the cricket ' ; solo, Miss Jones, 1 The childrens' "home'; recitation, A. Miller, 'Jack and his hard lump.
After the mooting had been closed by the Doxology and the Beuediction two new juvenile members were added to the (Society.
