MOUNT MAUNGANUI DOMAIN BOARD.
A meeting of the above was held on Monday evening after the Borough Council meeting. Present : — C. A. Clarke, Esq., Chairman, Messrs Stewart, Murphy, Blick, Spence, Commons, Maxwell and Hulme. The minutes of spejial and ordinary meetings were read and con- [ firmed. An offer to lease allotment No 5 at £1 per annum was received | from Mr G. A. Ward and accepted. The Hon. Secretary said he had received £10 Is from the Track Committee, as proceeds of the recent excursion. The Chairman moved that the Management Committee be empowered to draw upon the Board's funds to the extent of £5 to supplement the amount raided by the excursion. Seconded by Cr Murphy and carried. Mr Maxwell moved a vote of thanks to the Northern Steamship Co., coupled with the name of Mr Commons, for the use of the s.s. Katikati for the excursion. — Carried. Mr Hulme moved a vote of thanks to the Tauranga Band for their services at the excursion. — Carried. On the motion of Mr Blick the Honorary Engineer was authorised to proceed with the formation of the track at his convenience. This concluded the business.
