Waihi, Tuesday. — The Miners' Union Sports and races were held j yesterday and were a great success. The Hurdle race was won by Mr Dickey's Cumberland, Mrs Tanner's La Belle, second. Maiden Plate, Dixon's Ladas, 1 ; Fugle s Smokeless, 2. Trotting race, Tanner's Miner, 1 ; Moore's Tony, 2. Pony race, Vuglar's Virtue, 1 ; Tanner's Mona, 2. Cup, Dixon's Ladas, 1 j Forbes's Syren, 2.
