PRESENTATION TO THE REV. FATHER KEHOE.
On Wednesday last a very pleasing incident took place here, being the presentation of Mr John Kelly, acting' on behalf of ihe Catholics of Karangahake, of an address and testimonial to the Rev. Father Kehoe, lately minißtering to their spiritual needs, but now in charge of this pastorate. Mr Kelly, prior to handing the address to the Rev. Father, expatiated in a hrppy manner on the many good qualities of the recipient, after which Father Kehoe made a suitable and feeling reply. ) we append the text of both Address and rapfy i— Address, To the Rev. My Dear Friends, — It is customary for the recipients of addresses and testimonials to say how completely taken unawares they have jbeen, and that no words of theirs can adequately express their feelings deep-seated in grasef dl hearts. Were I to say that I was surprised, and agreeably so, when Mr Kelly presented me with your beautiful and valuable testimonial, I would be only truly giving expression to what I felt on the occasion. Where so many others would fail I will not make the attempt to becomingly thank you for crediting me with so many good qualities, you will take the will for the deed. .
