Loicdon, August 2. — The Prince of Wales's yacht Bri'ttannia, with the owner and the Emperor of Germany on board won the 40 ton race at Cowes regatta. The Valkyrie was second and the Atnerican boat, Navahoe, third. Tlie Cowes week, the great yachting carnival of the year opened on Monday} the handicap race for Her Majesty's cup was won by the German Emperor's • Meteor/ batter known by its original name of 'Thistle.' The Valkyrie was disqualified through sailing the wrong course.
