"PLEASANT HOURS."
The concluding performance of the short seaso* played in Tauranga took place in the Temperance Hall on Wednesday night, the attendance being rather small. The programme commenced with the burlesque Kenilworth which was succeeded by a, musical olio comprising the following items, "Shadows on the WaH"'by Mr T. Watts, "Sooner or Later" Miss Amy Johns, Sand Jig, by Mr Wilkinson, "Michael Murphy" and "Madame La Sharty" by Mr St. Clair, all of, which were well received. The second part of the entertain faent Consisted of a pantomime, Mr Wilkinson taking the Clown's part, Miss JTohnsT)eing Columbine, in which character she danced a. hornpipe, Irish jig, and Scotch reel ; Mr St Clair took the part of the inevitable and much to b« piti«d Police-man. Throughout the piece the fun and merriment never flagged, and at its conclusion the audience returned homewards in apparently excelleathumour.
