(from oub own cobbbsfohdeht. ) The regular monthly meeting of the Katikati North, School Committee took place in No. 2 Schoolroom "Waterford on Saturday 9th inst., at tl a.m. Present — Captain Hugh Stewart, Messrs Shaw, Turner, Burchell, and Simms secretary. No business of general interest was transacted. Road Board. — Th# ordinary meeting of the trustees took place at noon, on Saturday 9th inst., in the Board-room Uretara. Present — Captain Hugh Stewart (chairman) Captain Macmillan, Messrs Shaw, Turner, Andrews, Hoeing and Grledstanes. Robert Simms clerk, Thos. Leech collector, and Andrew Wilson Eugineer, were also in attendance. On the fflotion of Captain Macmillan (who highly complimented him) Captain Hugh Stewart was unanimously appointed Chairman for the ensuing ye&v. It was resolved to call tor tenders for fche office of Clerk, Collector, and Engineer. The Board have come to the determination to strike a very low rate this year, which will give satisfaction to the majority of ratepayersA number of accounts were passed for payment. The next meeting will take place on Saturday 13 June 1885 at noon.
