REMINISCENCE OF THE KATIKATI FAIR.
TO THE EDITOE,
Sir, — I think your correspondent in his report of the Katikati Pair, must have made a mistake when referring 1 to the Committee sitting down to dinner, at Mr Maodonnell's hotel, and allowing 1 strangers only to look on, The Committee, in the great throng, found seats at tho table as best they could, the dining-room not boing able to oontaia all those who wished to dino at one time, and for the information of tho correspondent, I may inform him, that no less than 103 people aat down to dinner. And first oorae first served! — I am, &0.,
One op the Committee. [The above irresistably recalls the old story, the facts of winch were summed up if not iraortalized in the words "And they did eat"!— Ed. B.P.T.]
