LONDON, April 28. Lawson's annual motion in favour of local option has been carried this year by a large majority in the House of Commons, and the Government promised to introduce a measure to give effect to the decision.
A Eoyal Red Cross Order for nurses has been instituted.
Hartmann, Nihilist chief, is reported to have re-entered Huesia.
The Irish Convention in America has resolved to adopt Parnell's platform, in which all Irish Societies will be unified, but the extreme party in the Convention have refused to concur in the decision, and some violent scenes resulted. O'Donovan Hossa's faction threatened to withdraw, and take separate action.
Devine, the Dublin approver, has now divulged the operations of the Vigilance Committee in arranging the attempted murder of Judge Lawson, the murder of Cox and others. Four persons have been arrested in consequence of Deviue's statement.
Dr Oroke, Arohbishop of Oaahel, has boon summoned to Borne, and oensured by tho Pope for supporting Mr Parnelli
