Makettj, Thursday afternoon. A little flare up occurred this morning in the Native Lands Court. Wi Mahi Te Rangikaheke took umbrage at the behaviour and speech of some of the Ngatiwhakaue chiefs in the Court, and stated in open Court that had it not been for his interference the Ngatiwhakaue would all have been eaten, the " copper Maori" being 1 heated all ready for them on the occasion of the late quarrel between the Ngatipilciao and the Ngatiwhakaue. Petera Pukuatua, hearing of this language, got out of bed, he being ill at the time, came over to the Court, and shook his fist in Mahi's face ; the latter told him to come outside the Court and settle his dispute, which, however, Petera declined doing. A good deal of feeling was evinced by the adherents of both parties, and the Court baa been adjourned till ten o'clock to-morrow.
