Bruce County Council. vtOTICE is hereby given [N that a Special Meeting of .'ie Bttice County Counci 1 , held on Tuesv day the third day of February, 1920 , the following ReiohitH.n was passed and will lie submitted fjr confirmation at a Special Meeting of the Couns j cil to be held on Tuesday, the ninth day of March, 1920 at 2 pm, at the Council Chambers at Milton : RESOLUTION. In pursuance and exercise of the powers provisions and authorities vested in it in that behalf by " The Counties Act, 1908." and the amendments thereof and all other enibling powers provisions and authorities contained in any other Acts or otherwise enabling it in that b:half the Council of the Bruce Copnty dotb hereby by Special Order make and ordain the following By-law. . The objects and purport of the proposed By-law are : 1, To make provision (or the licensing and con'.rol cf vehicles plying for hire f »r the carriage of passengers or goods within the County of Bruce. 2, To classify f uch vehic'esand to fix the fees, varying in the case of yearly Licenses from £8 to £l, and in the case of Daily Licenses from los to 2s 6d to be.paid to the Council in respect of such Licensed Vehicles. '3 To prevent unlicensed vehicles from Plyinf for hire within the County. 4, To provide for the Identification cf licensed vehicles, and for parucu lars of the number of passengers or weight of goods each such vehicle is licensed to carry, and the number of its licence being legibly written upon the same. 5 To provide for the inspection of Licensed Vehicles. 6, To lay down the conditions upon which Licenses may be revoked or suspended. 7. To fix the maximum penalty for • offences against the proposed By* law.
