The Vossische Zeitung quotes Trotsky, in the 'course of a speech, as saying that the Russians would fight by all the means at their disposal if the Entente attempted to land troops; but seriour military intervention by the Entente would be impossible without Japan's aid. Japan would only intervene in order to dominate Russia, and the Japanese would stretch out the hand of friendship when they met the Germans. Russia regarded Japan as a greater enemy than Germany.
