THE SULTAN dr TURKEY. .The Sultan of Turkey is dead. [Mohammed V., son of Sultan 'Abdul Medjid, was : born on November 3,1844 and succeeded to the throne on the deposition of .his elder , (brother, Sultan Abdul Hamid l'l. i('''Abdul t hc Damned"), on April '27, 1909. The deceased sovereign was the thirty-sixth, m male descent, of Othhnan, the founder of the 'Empire, and the twenty-ninth Sultan since the 'conquest of Constantinople.
