STEVENSON'S PICTURES,

One of the greatest Bcreen achievements known is "God's man," the powerful Frohman super-feature which will be screened by Mr Stevenson at Milton this evening. It is a piefcurisation of G. B. Howard's great novel attacking the evils of modern life, and the uniquely strong cast of players is headed byH. B. Warner. The latter gives a perfect portrayal of the storm-tossed central character, who finds that his every effort to do right leads him into danger. After a succession of evil happenings he sinks into the underworld, and there, tortured and in despair, he decides to serve Mammon. He there becomes entangled in the opium traffic, which is being run by some apparently respectable citizens of New York. The interest of the plot is intensely gripping, and the love Btory is full of deep emo tional scenes. The big cast is very even, and the production is marked by the very highest standard of photography and setting. Money was spent like water to ensure a supreme masterpiece, and the drama is one that will have few peers this year. " The Promoter " (comedy) and the latest Pathe Gazette will also be screened.

BRITANNIA PICTURES. Mr Thomson, of the Britannia Pictures, resumes his visitß to Milton this week, showing at the Coronation Hall on Thursday evening the principal film is " Dare-Devil Kate," the aoul-fltimng story of a woman's redemption. Kate runs a saloon in Devil's Gap, among the rough manufacturers of munitions who work there. When the workmen strike and blow up ' a munitions storehouse Kate sides with them. But when CM Stone comes from the East to take charge of the situation Kate wavers. Many startling and intensely dramatic eituationa follow, but everything ends happily as the proverbial marriage bells.
