Tho Wale of Liquor Restriction Bill was introduced in'the House of Representatives by the Prime Minister on Wednesday afternoon, and was procuretive of lengthy debate. The Bill provides that all licensed premises shall be closed (a)on Saturday night at 8 o'clock until 9 o'clock the following Monday morning', (h) on the nights of all other days from. 8 o'clock until 0 o'clock the following morning. The Act shall remain in force for the duration of the present war with Germany and for six months thereafter, and no longer. Mr Massey stated that the second reading of the Bill would take place on Tuesday if nothing occurred to prevent it, and the ■ restrictions would come into operation on'Novem : W I.—(Parliamentary correspondent.)
