INDIAN CRIME.

MOTHER BOILS H&R SON& Indian newspapers received contain particular* of a most revolting case of murder, in which a mothor, at the instigation of a religious fanatic, killed her two sons, and cooked their flesh as a present to the gods. The case was heard at the linsnnagar, an important town, in Bengul; and tho evidence disclosed an almost incredible degree of superstition even for India. Tho mother, who had two children, lost her husband and went to live with her mother and sister in a village near Chuadanga. Guru, as tho religious perceptor was called, asked the mother to kill the boys, cook their flesh, and ho would present it to the gods, He brought the woman completely under Ms control, and the mother agreed. Guru told them that after the cooked meat had been ottered to the gods they would iind the children alive, Every thing was done as directed. Before, the judge the mother denied the complicity of Guru and the other two women in the crime, and assumed the entire responsibility. The jury gave a unanimous verdict of guilty against Guru and the mother, both of whom wero sentenced to be transported to the Andaman Islands for life. The other two women were acquitted.
