Guru told them that after the cooked meat had been ottered to the gods they would iind the children alive, Every thing was done as directed. Before, the judge the mother denied the complicity of Guru and the other two women in the crime, and assumed the entire responsibility. The jury gave a unanimous verdict of guilty against Guru and the mother, both of whom wero sentenced to be transported to the Andaman Islands for life. The other two women were acquitted.
