LOVELIES FLAT AMENITIES.

(To Tmc Editor) Dear Sir,—No doubt your Lovells Flat correspondent thought himself very funny yvhen he wrote the notes which were printed in your issue of the 19th inst. lam very much afraid that he is not very good at sticking to facts, and draws a good deal on his imagination, I suppose on running short of news he likes to indulge in a bit of mud slinging. His report of the " affair " in the school grounds was, to say the least, very much exaggerated, as I for one never used any strong language nor heard any used, He should remember that other people can indulge in mud sling'ng as well as him. I think my character will stand as much inquiring into as his will. He should remember when writing that he is a resident of the Flat and try to keep up the name of the place and the residents. Trusting that some abler pen mine will take the matter up and teach him a salutory lesson.—l am, etc., Football.
