Personal Pars.

On Tuesday afternoon ihe staff of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Limited, met together in the manager's room for the purpose of expressing their good wishes to Mr Charles N. Draper, the Company's auctioneer, and presenting him with tangible evidence of their esteem and goodwill on the occasion of his approaching marriage. The presentation, consisting of a handsome b'ack marble timepiece with suitable engraving, was made by Mr Sare, who, on behalf of the Dunedin staff and country agents, in a few well chosen words wished Mr Draper long life and happiness, and remarked on his happy and tactful helpfulness to everyone on all possible occasions. Mi Draper replied in a neat and effective little speech.
