It was a most interesting visit. The boys at vork and play were watched by the inspected" f , .quarters inspected. Now this play has been a failure in other places, and yet here it waß played to an overflowing audience, and punctuated With more applause than was given to "The Prisoner of Zenda." ihere was even insistent demand for an encore of the earthquake. It perhaps / appealed strongly to Wellington people. I hear this play is not to be staged again in New Zealand. Certainly Knight makes a most impressive Roman potentate, and is intensely picturesque in his magnificent robes, but the theme is I,o° morbid to suit most play-goers' tastes. Among the Company is Miss Martin, an Adelaide girl, who has only been about . four months acting. She is a wonderful pianiste, and has been thq chief feature of interest at several social functions. The next attraction r„t the Opera House is the Vaudeville Company, and we are promised such a combination as has never been seen here before.
