BURNSIDE STOCK MARKET. Wednesday, June 17th. Fat Sheep—2,74o yarded. A big yarding, including several pens of prime quality. Taken all over, the quality was better than for some weeks, but the sale was dragging throughout, and values were easier than last week. Beat wethers 19s to 21s, extra 22s 6(1 to 283, medium 163 to 18a, inferior 12a to 14s 9d. Best ewes 14s to 15s 9d, medium 10s to 13a, inferior 5a 83 6d. Fat Lambs—l,o43 yarded. A good yarding. Prices were, if anything, not quite so good as last week. A few good pens were passed at 16a 6d. Bess 14s to 16s, medium 12s to 13s, inferior 9s to lis. Pigs—About 100 yarded. A medium yarding. Prices were mucb the same as last week. Suckers 8s to lis, slips 12s to 163, stores 18s to 23s 6d, porkers 25a to £2, baconers £2 10s to £3, choppers up to 675. Fat Cattle—222 yarded. Prime cattle showed an improvement on last week's quotations, but medium, light-weights, and cows and heifers were, hard to sell. Extra bullocks £lO 17s 6d, best from £9 to £lO ss, medium £8 6s to £9, heifers from £4 to £5 10s, others, from £3 10s. f m-i-i The following local sales are reported; The National Mortgage sold for Mr J. Perniskie, Stirling, 3 bullocks at £8 17s 6d, 3do £1 17a 6d, 2 do £1 sa; for Mr J. Morris, Milburn, 22 wethers at 16s 9d, 14 do 14s 9d, and a pen of lambs at 15s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile sold tor Mr G. C Primmer, Clarendon, 37 wethers at 17s 6d, 23 do 17s. Wright, Stephenson and Co,, sold for Mr Jos. Moßley, Stirling, 62 wetherg at up to 19s 6;L Messrs Daigoty ami Co, sold for A. Mosley, Stirling, wethers to 17s 6d; lor Mr G. Looktiart, Milton, wethers to 19s 9d; Mr D. Murray, Balclutha, wethers to 15s 3d. Donald Reid and Co. sold for Mr F. G, Glover, Aduriri, 54 wethers at 21s to 13s 3d, and lambs to 16s 6d; Mr S. flazlett, Milburn, 16 wethers at 17s 9d, 21 ewes at 13s 9d, 100 lambs at 14s 3d 10 15s 3d. ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET Christohuroh, June 17th. At the Addington live stock market to-day the entries, except of fat cattle, were smaller than of late, and there was a more limited attendance in consequence of the inclement weather. Store bhtep showed no change, and fat iambs were very firm. Beef was in fair demand, and pigs sold well. The yarding of store nheep was a small one, and consisted principally of lambs and wethers. In--0 uded in the entry were a few lots,of Nelson sheep, the balance of a number that were brought into Canter bury some weeks ago, For forward lamb o aud wethers late rates wore maintained though the demand wa3 not aoiive. A line of wethers, well forward, made 16a 4d, others 14s 6d to 15a, and backward sons 10s to 11a 6d, forward lambs 9s 6d to 10a 6J, and lighter 7a 61 to 9a. A line of small twostooth halfbred ewes made lis 6d. There was a smaller yarding of tat iambs than for several weeks past, and t,he quality was very mixed, only a small proportion being well grown and prime. Bidding was faiciy brisk, and prices were rather firmer, nearly ali lots goiDg for exports. Tegs made 17s 6d to 18a lOd, ordinary weights 13s to 17s, and light and interior stud lots 9s to 12s 6d.
