Duloie Deamer, the talented young authoress la presently a member of the Taylor-Carrington Company being under the special care of Miss Ella Oarrington, She has a story in •' The Lone Hand " for June, which may be described as original and powerful. It is a continuation of her maiden effort "In the beginning," and is entitled " The first-bofin." Seen at her hotel on Friday afternoon with Miss Oarrington, Dulcie Deamer is a bright young girl full of vivaoity with a charming fresh manner. Though her evident forte is literature she has determined on the stage as her profession, and is in safe hands with Mrs Taylor (Miss Ella Oarrington). Offers were made to her to join the regular contributing staff of the Lone Hand, but Miss Deamer wishes to follow a stage career, and though only now cast in small parts her acting is natural and unaffected leading to the belief that ere long she will win a way to the foremost rank in legitimate drama. Miss Deamer is not yet 18 and is a native of Christchurch, but has been living with her father (Dr Deamer) at Featherstone, North Island, for some years. She liKes the north better than our southern isle, and so far is delighted with tier experience on the stage.
