THE WOOL SALES.

I The seoond wool sale of the season's series I was he d at the Victoria Hall, Agricultural Uall Buildings, on Friday, when there was j a full attendance of buyers, English, foreign, I and colonial manufacturers being well represented, and a large attendance of wool 1 growers, wbo manifested keen,intere_b in the 1 proceedings. The competition throughout 1 the ■ sale was keen, and there was brisk bidI cling in respect to all classes o£ wool up to full market value. Prices realised showed a slight advance on those ruling at last, sale for all sonnd, bright crossbred and fine half, bred wools, while for merinos and low class crossbreds they were about on a par with those pbtained at the last sales. In>H cases the prices obtained were more than equal t> the' London equivalent value, and in some cases buyers no doubt made- .heir purchases in expectation of a further rise in the London market. Buyers appeared restless when wool vpas passed in at high reserves. In all a^(^jyx>f , 14,015 bj^esVaii catolpgued by the various brokers.
