Packing Toa by Hand.
Although Ceylon is the greatest tea-growing country in the world, up to this time the entire product has been packed by hand. Our man who has large tea interest? in Ceylon has just perfected a machine for packing the tea in small packages. It is stated that to;i put up in this way, especially if en cased in tinfoil, will retain its flavor much longer than when put \\\\ in large quantities. The maclriinand one man will pack 30 packages in a minute, and the tea is so handled that the tea is not broke]; as when packed by the h;ui<2 method. Several of these ma-chines-are now being installed on [ the tea property of this planter.— Washington Star.
