Public Notices SUTTON'S ■ " ' PURPLE TOP MAMMOTH FOIt FATTENING LAMBS t [SPECIMEN TESTIMONIAL.] Ryal Bush, Southland, N.Z., 28th May, 1904. Messrs Tothill, Limited, Invercargill. / Dear Sirs, — I wish to advise you that last year your Mr Taylor advised me to sow "SUTTON'S PURPLE TOP MAMMOTH " for lamb feed instead of RAPE, and I sowed in the middle of November 16 acres with Purple' Top Mammoth Seed (which I obtained from you) in broad cast drill with 2cwt of artificial manure to the acre. It was the very finest crop I have'ever had or seen^ and for feeding I never saw the like. The tops alone are equal to a good crop of Rape, and after the turnips were broken by the lambs the field was just one white sheet. Before Harvest I put on 293 lambs, and since then I put on 46 old ewes, and on 2nd May I put on 53 ewes and one ram, and they have not yet eaten more than the half of the 16 acres. I have always found that Sutton's Seeds were most reliable and good, and I consider any small extra cost is well spent money. It only amounts 10 .1 lew shillings per annum, and it is a great thing for a farmer to be sure that the seed he sows is the best he can get. —Yours faithfully, (Signed) .
