The following is an interim return (official) of the acreage uader corn »nd green crops, and the amount of grain, &c-, on hand in New Zealand. The present season has been very unfavorable, consequently the crops are Very backward, and the harvest will be mock later than uinal :— Wheat. — Area returned for threshing, 1904-06, 157,295; acres, 1933-04, 230,346 - acre* ; increase, 26,949 acres. The areas returned under the headios; for " chaffing," " ensilage," and " feeding down " are : 1904---05, 880 acre* ; 19C3-04, 613 acres ; increase, 267 acre*. . Total increase, 27,216 acres.
