BALCLUTHA v. KAITANGATA.

(From Our Kaitangata Correspondent) The above match was played at Balclutha on Saturday last. A strong gale was blowing daring the time of Balclutha's innings, which died away towards the close. Deaker (37), Garfonh (15), Hislop (14), and Bishop (10) batted best for Balclutha ; Aitcheson (5 for 32) and Lockhart (3 for 21) being the most successful Kai bowlers. Robbins (9) and Hill (9) were top scorers for Kai against the destructive bowling of Deaker (4 for 9) and Gunthorp (5 for 25). Following are the scores :— Balclutha.
